My little sister died on Feb 13, 2008. She was only 33 years old. Her death was sudden and shook me to my very core. It woke me up. I looked around at my life, my opportunities, and the way I had been living. I decided to start making changes. Not long after that, the man who had asked me to marry him broke up with me, in a text message. So I continued the grieving, and then I decided to write a book about my life and all the stuff I’d been through. I titled the book Crash Course. I hope you will read my book, listen to my stories, and examine your own life as well. I discovered that I am worth something. You are too. It's amazing what we can accomplish once we stop covering up the pain with the booze. What is your story?

Some relationships can blossom into a happy union, then again some do not... like mine. What's your story?

No new posts The War
We are all victims of War in one way or another. I served on an air station abroad during the First Gulf War. It was my job to seperate aircraft, to keep them from hitting each other, to get them safely "on deck" as we used to say in the Navy. I was an air traffic controller stationed in Italy. Yes, I signed up for military service voluntarily, but I felt so badly knowing people were being killed. It didn't matter who was doing the killing. That is just my personal belief system: No Guns, No Killing. How can we end confrontation(s) with our enemies?

No new posts Mental Health
Is it possible to recover from mental "illness" and become mentally healthy again? How do we know if or when we are "normal" or rational or more functional than the next person?
